Founded in 1958, Scandinavian Steel has grown to become a leading distributor of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pig iron and alloys to the steel, foundry and chemical industry on a worldwide basis. Many of our products are used to produce the raw materials which later become vital components in the automotive, aerospace and electronics industries.
Over the years, our list of products and markets has continued to grow and diversify but our core business has always remained the same. This long-term commitment has provided us with stable sourcing partners, market insight and access to opportunities. We have an active and trusting cooperation with our suppliers which develop our joint business and promote corporate responsibility.
Our team has extensive product knowledge and experience across the supply chain. We apply this knowledge, experience and our skills to each transaction and to each step in the distribution process. Our trading desk supports our customers and gives them the advantage of being able to make qualified decisions on when to enter a market. Our traffic and operations desk service our customers by providing efficient, high quality logistics solutions and by forecasting and avoiding events which are likely to affect delivery. In the end it all comes together to add value for our customers and has given us a solid reputation for reliability.
Our headquarters are located in Stockholm, Sweden and are supported by a network of offices in Europe, Asia and the CIS. We employ more than 30 people spread throughout these locations and for several years Scandinavian Steel has ranked among the Top 500 companies in Sweden.
